Welcome to the 2024 Brick Cave Media Membership Drive! For the month of June, 2024, we are promoting and celebrating our BC Book Club, its members and the future of small press publishing.
Our BC Book Club Members Are Key
The BC Book Club plays a critical role in the survival of the publishing house, and we would love your support.
Brick Cave is not a vanity press. We do not ask our authors to pay advance money or fees to publish their books. The books have to be good enough to earn their way. The industry seems to shift labels on what they call this approach, we just call it. . . “publishing”.
Our BC Book Club members are our support to have the capital to invest in each new title we publish, and we take that stewardship very seriously. Our goal is to put create books that are professionally crafted, fun to read, and impactful to our communities.
In essence, you are our investors, and we all, author and staff alike, Strive to give you the best return on that investment. It’s a pretty simple formula, the more BC Book Club Members we have, the more books we can publish.

A Membership Drive should be fun, right? Well, we think so anyway. So all month, we have some great events planned to let you be a part of our journey. Check the calendar for the live events during the month, and join us in the journey of Brick Cave.
What’s A Drive Without Benefits?
OK, so every drive have benefits and thank you’s. We have ours below, with generous thank you gifts organized by week. The sooner you join, the more benefits you can to take advantage of (as in, if you join now, you get to take advantage of all four weeks).

Secure Membership
Joining our BC Book Club is easy. Our membership details are all managed by Stripe, we do not locally store any payment information. You can manage your membership from the brickcave.media site, or email staff for help if you need it. We also do not share your information with third parties.
Securing Drive Benefits
Once you have become a member, you will receive a welcome email and confirmation of which benefit weeks you will qualify for. At the conclusion of the drive, after the 4th of July holiday, we will check in with you to fulfill the benefits you have qualified for.
Week One: Kindle Crush Contest

This one is easy, if you join during this week, we’ll let you pick one or more books currently available on kindle and we’ll gift you a code (for each).

Week Two: Audiobook Mini Challenge
Saturday, June 8-Friday, June 14
In 2019, we held a successful Kickstarter to fund the recording of our titles in Audiobook. We had a great event and were able to afford three new audiobooks. That leaves us with 40+ books yet to record, and that’s the focus of this challenge. Join this week, and you’ll get to vote on which book(s) is next:
- $5 (Sapphire Dragon)- One vote towards the next book(s) recorded
- $10 (Diamond Dragon)- Two votes towards the next book(s) recorded
- $20 (Onyx Dragon)- Three votes towards the next book(s) recorded
For each 10 new Book Club Members that join this week, we will add another audio book to the “Record” list, and the subscribers will get a free copy of the completed audio book:
- Sapphire Dragon- One free audio book from that list
- Diamond Dragon- Two free audio books from that list
- Onyx Dragon- Three free audio books from that list

Week Three: Paperback Throwdown

We’ll present you with a list of our paperbacks that you can get when you join this week (check the forums), and you when you join, you can snag yourself one or more copies:

- $20 (Onyx Dragon)- Pick three titles
We’ll get them signed where we can, and mail them to your AOR. Probably some swag as well, you never know.

Home Stretch: The Last Couple Days
Saturday, June 29-Friday, June 30
Our goal this month is to add 100 new subscribers to our community. If we are close, and just need a little push, Brick Cave CEO Bob Nelson is willing to go the extra mile, including streaming the last 48 hours of the month live and telling dad jokes, sharing stories and looking for people just crazy enough to support this small publishing company.
He might just do it anyway, he’s crazy like that.
